Gonne Choi
Korean folk-pop singer-songwriter Gonne Choi presents her uninhibited, boundary-crossing music with her octal tone and singing style with an acoustic sound.
Covering from solo to band sound, her fascinating palette of music is not limited to a single genre. The unique color of her songs come from the various musical experiences from her youth, such as learning Korean traditional instruments and Pansori (Korean opera) as well as singing in a hard-core rock band. These experiences greatly affects Gonne’s music with diversity, which allows crossover of the boundaries of genres, such as rock, folk, jazz, contemporary, classic, Korean traditional, and world music.
